This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Scrilla C
[edit]The young talented Bejan Toofan, better recognized by his industry name of Scrilla C, has been leaving his signature mark in the Hip Hop industry. Born in Woodland California on September 15th 1988, and beginning his music career at the tender age of 14, he has carved his own path for his career. Raised in the Bay Area, and now living in Gilroy, Scrilla C has his eyes set on the future. His unparalleled determination to bring change, with his influential music style has pushed him to gain the acceptance from his peers, and the admiration of his fans. His schedule consists of traveling and performing for audiences from as far as Los Angeles to Sacramento. His lyrics are heartfelt, derived from his life experiences, and mixed with his feelings on the world. He does not believe in failure, he is focused and sees every obstacle as an experience to grow from, and better strengthen himself as a person and artist. Scrilla C has been creating poetry, an art form, created from a fresh new lyrical style, mixed with meaningful content. Instead of withholding his personal life stories from the public, he felt it was necessary for the public to hear his voice, and allow his fans to relate at a very personal level with him. Therefore, he began to grow an undeniable hunger to break into the rap game and be heard.
Two years before Scrilla C received the warranted recognition he deserved, he would travel to nightclubs and battle any MC that would challenge him to a lyrical battle. Initially he found himself lost in the large diverse pool of rappers, where talent was abundant, and discrimination was rampant. However, after 6 months of continuous battling and writing lyrical masterpieces, a producer discovered him, and offered him the opportunity to put together a CD for the world recognized company, Disney, in 2004. After the album was completed, Scrilla C and his producer agreed to name the piece of work: "A Rap Thang.” Additionally, the contract required the album to exclude all profanity, which allowed the album to be mass marketed per Disney’s requirements. Scrilla C was against his voice being censored; feeling certain aspects of his lyrics would suffer with censorship. Nevertheless, as a business man, he followed through with the agreement, and satisfied Disney’s requirements, but the album did not lead to a record deal. His first album, titled "A Rap Thang" was released in 2005, and sold over 1,500 copies. Moreover, Scrilla C later shot a music video for his single "Just Me" off the album in 2005, which was eligible to be broadcasted on the ultra competitive music television stations: M.T.V. and B.E.T.
With the release of the album “A Rap Thang”, Scrilla C soon found his career as an artist beginning to dwindle away. He was torn between a rapper who was rapping for the streets, and an artists who had to create music for a more innocent crowd, the kids for Disney corporations. The two music styles were very different, and it resulted in Scrilla C to be left in the middle to choose and to conform to the many limitations set for him. Therefore, as time progressed, Scrilla C felt the limitations placed upon him were not allowing him to advance and grow as an artist. Thus, the album that was created for Disney began to sour more and started making Scrilla C loose respect from the streets – losing credibility. Soon he recognized he had to make a drastic decision with his music career, or it would quickly come to an end. Therefore, he decided to create his own studio company, and he called it Younglife ProductionZ. Now he could express himself openly without any restrictions; Scrilla C’s true creativity soon began to shine overtime, and his genious work in the studio became his new trademark. With now having complete control over the entire production of his albums, he had the ability to choose his own producers to best fit his style. This style was displayed in his new album “Anger In My Eyez”, which featured 4 producers, including himself. This album was released in 2006, and sold over 1,000 copies.
Next, in 2007 Scrilla C had finally mastered the numerous skills in music production: producing, mixing, mastering and creating beats. No longer was Scrilla C just a rapper, but now he had completely transformed from a kid with only a single dream, to a rapper with the sky as the limit. After releasing two solo albums, Scrilla C began to work on his first compilation album, which was named: "Get Rich Or Keep Lying", in 2008. With a resume of over 500 hit tracks produced to his name, this young producer was not afraid to push the limits, enter into uncharted territories at such a young age, and break barriers to get his name further recognized. His determination to market his own signature style, enabled him to distance himself from the rest of the artists and producers in the ultra cut-throat music industry. Scrilla C is now very well-respected, and his services are very demanded from the biggest names in the Bay Area Hip Hop scene, which include: Dem Hoodstarz, San Quinn, Turf Talk (nephew of the rap star E-40), and etc. These artists are signature names across all Bay Area Rap/ Hip Hop radio stations, and this further displays Scrilla C’s influence and impeccable talent in one of America’s largest and most competitive Hip Hop scenes. With his great passion for the music industry, Scrilla C has assembled this compilation album, which will later be recognized as his first major stepping stone to stardom.
Furthermore, after selling 4,000 copies of "Get Rich Or Keep Lying", Scrilla C then began working on another compilation album, named "Before I Die", which shall be released in 2009. The new album is estimated to sell over 5,000 units. Additionally, Scrilla C is also currently working on his pre solo album "Stacking Up", which shall be on store shelves in 2009 as well. His deep passion for his craft is very rare and unique, and the mention of his work lights up his eyes, with a spark that is contagious. Spending one minute with this young artist/producer/entrepreneur will inspire you, and show you how with hard work and determination you can make your dreams come true, despite the many road blocks.
